Water hardness, or hydrometric title (TH), corresponds mainly to the presence of calcium and magnesium salts. It is directly related to the geological nature of the terrain the water passes through. Limestone soils produce hard water, while granite soils produce softer water. Total hardness represents the sum of calcium and magnesium hardness. Hardness is an important parameter in water?softening processes. Measuring water hardness before and after a softener allows verification of proper operation and membrane replacement if necessary. The HI719 model measures magnesium hardness. Economical, practical and compact, it is ideal for routine checks.
