Light Stable Kettle Extract (LSKE) is a product derived from CO2 hop extract, characterized by its golden to amber color and semi-fluid syrup consistency. It contains potassium salts of reduced rho-iso-alpha acids, beta acids, and essential hop oils, providing substantial protection against light-struck flavors in beer. LSKE is typically utilized at a rate of 50-75% and offers a perceived bitterness that is about 70% of that of iso-alpha acids.
